Chislehurst, Petts Wood and Bickley may be
administratively in London, but postally they remain in Kent, which is just as
well as there aren’t any Taste of London awards.
There are, however, Taste of Kent awards and voting
for 2015 is now open and will remain so until December.
There are sixteen categories and Chislehurst Farmers
Market has already been nominated in the Kent Farmers Market of the Year
category. North-west Kent is woefully underrepresented and so Village News has
added The Imperial Arms (currently standing at number one locally on Trip
Advisor) as Kent Dining Pub of the Year, and Higgs Butchers as Kent Butcher or
Meat Producer of the Year. You may have you own preferences, if so they can also
be nominated.
Produced
in Kent have been organising The Taste of Kent Awards since 2004 showcasing the
best of Kent’s food and drink products. It is the county’s longest
running and most prestigious awards having gained many loyal sponsors and
supporters during that time.
The
range of categories has grown year on year and now incorporates every product
that Kent, the Garden of England, is renowned for. With each passing year, the
number of votes cast for your favourite food and drink heroes has also grown
massively with Kent foodies demonstrating great support for local products by
participating in these annual awards.
Cast your vote and make sure it counts.
Support Kent’s farmers and producers, restaurants
and pubs and of course those independent shops.
